OK guys i just want to let you guys know that there are other ideas out there people have been experimenting but you need to know this before you burn your miner or your house down. 1. Don’t connect AC to a closed up system because it’s not pushing the amount of air that's been sucked out by the 6000 rpm fans. 2. That enclosed area is going to condensate air moisture into water. 3. You’re going to have mold growing and dark enclosed spaces like fridges and esky / cooler are perfect for mold. Do you know this soundproof box for the antminer could sell for loads on Amazon worldwide? Why is no one taking it seriously as it is the only mess - the noise stopping one from buying the antminer 9/ 9i. The electricity can be managed if one makes enough coins to cover but the noise will not be accepted in most residences. Make loads of sound proof boxes and sell on Amazon or eBay or other now! lol... seriously.

A box will not work well. The machine itself gets abit hot and there isnt enough air around it. The temperature will rise some at least. I soundproofed a small room via a professional contractor for antminers. The cost is not cheap but that is the proper way to go. Furthermore, your material is not thick enough and sound will exit from the hole.

Cool video. Similar to a design i used on my channel.

When you put on the lid, the box becomes a closed environment. Don't forget there is another place to vent air on the miner and the miner itself would become warm, both factors would cause temperature to rise if the box is closed. Air wouldn't circulate in there, the temp starts to rise, the heat start accumulating in the box. It's a vicious circle. I don't think the box would work by time. In the end, you have to open the lid if you don't want to see your miner getting damaged by the high temperature. The result is the temperature still goes up and the noise doesn't improve very much when you decide not to close the box. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you!
